This is the ST-40 (ST-362) Stratocaster, an exceptionally cost-effective model introduced in the early '90s as a beginner-class model.
This model served as the basis for the later J Craft Standard series (ST-43, ST-STD, etc.), and while minor specification changes were made after production of this instrument ceased, the fundamentals remained the same, maintaining Fender quality at an affordable price, making it a popular series that remained in the lineup until the brand's demise.
Featuring classic wood materials inherited from higher-end models, such as a basswood body and maple neck and fingerboard, as well as carefully selected parts such as Gotoh tuning machines and bridge, this guitar offers impressive specs.
The arm and backplate are missing.
There are dents in the wood, paint peeling, and paint cracks on the lower corners of the body top, near the back contour, and at the corners of the body.
There is paint chipping at the neck joint, and a dent with a dent in the headstock corner.
There is some tarnish and minor rust on the metal parts, and overall signs of heavy use, including scratches and dents.
